monday memories

Paris, a time where the biggest decision we had to make in our day was what boulangerie we were going to buy our next pain au chocolat from. *sigh*

monday memories

Oh that blossom tree, if only these sweet things were gracing the streets of Melbourne.

Prague, Czech Republic
12:00pm April 29th 201
Leaving Prague today, we spent 2 nights in Prague and it was sensational!!!! Sights..lights..great food! There is a somewhat Gothic feel to the city, the architecture is very interesting and the gargoyles are memorable to say the least. The city is buzzing with excitment and what I'll remember most about Prague is the Prague castle, beer factory, pork knuckles and spending waaay too long jumping outside the cathedral.
Lauren: "Oh what'd you do all day in Prague?"
Me: "Oh just did some jumps outside this church".
Fun times with new friends.

a festival in Melbourne

Melbourne festival took place during the 6th - 22nd October. Gracing the main streets of Melbourne CBD was a sculptural spectacle designed by a Russian art collective AES+F.
I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of them each day as I rode the tram down Swanston Street. At 6 meters tall they make quite an impression and I made sure that I didn't go without some great photographs of the colossal affair that was the Angels-Demons Parade.

pretty lunch spot

This weather lately! How lucky could we get with all this warm October sunshine? I am all about that Vitamin D and what a better way to ensure you get your minimum exposure with an entire hour outside in a park. Check out this park, it's right around the corner from my work place in Camberwell.
Far from manicured there is lush long grass, dogs getting taken for their daily walks and big Oak trees. It's a pretty perfect spot to eat lunch and spend some quality time outdoors.
slip. slop. slap.

monday memories

Pretty amazing memories of Monte Carlo, a splendid city oozing with wealth. We visited the aquarium, ate a quatre fromage baguette and dreamt about someday owning a Bugatti.

class

In the name of Class, a group of us went down to The Espy last Thursday night. The sprawling beachfront bar has a very grungy theme, is a maze of interconnected rooms and is undeniably charming.

Nobody would have believed that Class had only performed once before as a band, they delivered a polished performance. I hope there's more where that came from, join their fanpage on facebook and check them out! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Class/272731196074000

feet in St Kilda

It's preplexing that one city can achieve such a healthy balance. We leave our house, take a walk through our upmarket neighbourhood passing all the boutiques and food stores, hit the cultural charm of the city in less than 10 minutes by tram. From the city we embark on a 30 minute tram journey to St Kilda and with the city in the view behind us we experience the best kind of Sunday spring bliss.
Lying in the grass, drowning ourselves in the sunshine and listening to beats. Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and dreams of future Summer plans.

T2 for one.

I had a sweet "me" day doing a bit of grooming and that, after walking home in the sunshine I decided there was no better way to top the day off than to enjoy a quiet cuppa. Lucky enough I am acquiring a pretty cute collection of all things tea party.
Housing my T2 Melbourne Breakfast loose tea - a pretty sweet bargain from the Clarendon Rd Salvation Army store
Birthday gift from a lovely lady
My Melbourne Breakfast blend brewing to perfection

While all this brewing was going on I was engaging in some pretty enthusiastic bopping to Peter Bjorn & John - Amsterdam. Please listen to this song, it's lovely as can be.Have a happy Thursday eve friends and readers.

monday memories

Hi pretty things.
These photos represent a point in time where we were making pretty spectacular memories. Would love to hear if any of you have yet ventured to this lovely spot in France. Warm sunshine, French cheese and patisseries, oh lush. Would love to hear your highlights of Nice too of course.

carlton gardens

Tucked in between Rathdowne St and Nicholson St is the perfect picnic spot one could possibly find. Carlton gardens is a sweet piece of picnic paradise with plenty of park benches, a playground for the kiddo's, basketball court and lush coverage. I am lucky enough to live a stones throw from the gardens and decided it would make for a merry picnic spot.

What made Carlton gardens my favourite of Melbourne gardens so far? Well I'd have to say those sweet smiles that came together to celebrate my birthday there!
