piers and pies.

A few weekends ago my sweet friend picked us up in her new car and we had 'Sunday Funday' in Brighton. It was my first visit to Brighton and boy I wondered what took  me so long to discover the little slice of Paradise.

No less than perfect was the sunshine, we swung our feet over the wharf side on Brighton pier and ate lemon meringue pie and apricot slice compliments of Mr Bradley (bought not made...duh!)

Williamstown.

animated clouds
 A wee trip to the west of Melbourne to a cheerful spot Williamstown. Quaint, idyllic, sleepy and coastal.

Lucky for us we visited just in time for some Williamstown annual festival action. We celebrated amongst the locals, ate gelato and saw a traveling mini-farm.

pretty splendid Italiano

I am loving having my mum visit Melbourne. Snaps (snapping my fingers in an excited fashion) to family visits! Last night we strolled Lygon street in search of the ultimate Italian experience, before settling for Tiamo 2. Tiamo 2 is Daniel and my local fav and for good reason. Mum was impressed beyond words! To start bocconcini salad, sumptuous mains of veal and mushroom risotto and tortellini in a garlic cream sauce. Of course this was washed down with a carafe of red wine.  Stellar performance Tiamo 2. pretty vintage posters

It's always good to have that one crafty friend, she's special..we always hang at the library flipping through colourful cookbooks and dreaming about indulging in home renovations with mass budgets! I know.

Last weekend we went to town on these $5 frames, my personal collection of fav Melbourne cafe business cards since Aug2011 and a selection of vintage posters.

- The Museum Collection of Vintage Posters from my local bookstore 'Readings' - $25.00
- f4 x photo frames at $5 each from Big W - $20.00
- Collected cafe business cards - free
           Total = $45.00 (stop it!)

I could not be happier with the final product.
