copacabana

Crazy busy weekend! I arrived home Thursday night from a beaut time in Sydney with my favourite friends and it were a go-go from Friday to Sunday. Lucky for me I have a sweet man who loves to get out and about, he'd organized a whopper of a weekend.
Friday a 5-man party meet at Strange Wolf

Can't stop loving everything Summer right now..including Copacabana parties hosted by friends of friends who luuuurve to party. It was a pretty perfect Summers eve and pinata was the cherry on the top. How fun is pinata?

Then..he scored us 2 free tickets to the 'Big Day Out' so we were eager as anything to check Das Racist, Girl Talk and Kanye West to name a few. Hope you all had a fun weekend.

revisiting goals

It's been 19 days since setting myself some fairly achievable 2012 goals. Time to consult the list and make sure I'm on track! Hope you're all seeing some changes in what you're doing with the goals you have set.

Keep it up, it's always nice to have a bit of encouragement

Melbourne by foot

I absolutely adored having a sweet visitor to cruise around the Melbourne sights with. While our days consisted of many eats and drinks, we did cover a lot of ground by foot!

I was going through somewhat of a tram stand down so opted to walk at all occasions. Nat seemed to prefer this option given she lives in Dubai and doesn't get to go by foot too often. Upon reflection, Melbourne town by foot is a good way to ensure you don't miss a single laneway or piece of street art.

Days go: a walk through Carlton gardens, ladies tea at Hopetoun Tearooms, Luna park, espresso martini at Madame Brussels, a bit of Bourke Street busking Elmo style, spotting my favourite graffiti piece to date, breakfast burger at the diner in Trunk, a peek into the La Trobe reading room in the state library. To finish off, some final giggles together and a pretty tasty meal at Rice Queen.

we love visitors

Natee in Melbourne

myself and Nat atop Burj Khalifa
All the way from Dubai I have one of my bestest buddies in the world visiting Melbourne for 2 days.

I was lucky to have her visit us in Berlin back in September 2010. On our way back from Europe to New Zealand in July 2011 we ended up visiting her in Dubai for a splendid few nights. This time, our experience in Melbourne will be very different from here.

I am so impressed that we manage to make such a big effort to see each other despite living in various cities throughout the world. Here's to all the exciting new experiences together in Melbourne!
